Learn how to configure dLocal Go in your Shopify store.

In this guide you’ll find how to integrate your Shopify store with dLocal Go’s redirect checkout for your customers.

Getting started

dLocal Go’s payment app for Shopify provides a redirect shopping experience for your customers. This means that they will be redirected to the dLocal Go checkout at the time of payment, to pay with their favorite payment method, and then brought back to your site when the payment is finished.

The app is available for merchants selling in LATAM, USA, Spain, Indonesia and Malaysia. For more information see our coverage.

Install dLocal Go redirect checkout

To start, you’ll need to install the dLocal Go redirect checkout app. This action will enable your store to provide customers with a redirect checkout to complete their purchases.

You’ll be able to see your orders in Shopify and your transactions in your dLocal Go account. In order to install the payment app you'll need a Shopify store and a dLocal Go account. Let's start!

  1. Access your Shopify account

  2. Click on “Settings” on the menu below

  3. Go to “Payments”

  4. Click on the button “Add payment methods”

  5. Go to “Search by provider” and search “dLocal Go: Local cards, bank transfers and cards” payment option

  6. Once you found the app click on “Activate”

  7. You'll access a section with information about our payment app. If you wish to continue you'll have to click on “Connect”

  8. A new window will open and you'll need to click on “Install app”. This will allow dLocal to access the permission needed to create and update order´s transactions created by dLocal Go.

  9. A new window will open and you'll need to log into our dLocal Go account to be able to synchronize your account with your Shopify store.

    1. If you don't have a dLocal Go account, you can create one by clicking on “Sign up”.

    2. If you are creating a new account during the installation process, bear in mind that you´ll need to verify your account with the verification token sent via email and complete step 1 of the account setup process to be able to create transactions.

  10. Once you logged in to your dLocal go account you'll be redirected back to Shopify, where you'll be able to select the payment methods you'd like to accept and offer to your customers.

  11. To complete the installations you'll have to click “Activate: dLocal Go: Local cards, bank transfers and cards” and your dLocal Go redirect checkout will be ready to use!

Your customers will see the payment option available within your checkout.

You can always manage your dLocal Go redirect setup from your dLocal Go account or Shopify panel.

Important: you´ll need to make sure Shopify’s Customer contact is set to only "Email” because we need the customer email to be able to send them communications about their payment and refund, in case needed.

To be able to set this property you´ll need to:

  1. Access your Shopify account

  2. Click on “Settings” on the menu below

  3. Go to “Checkout”

  4. Select the option “email” within the “customer contact method” section.
